ART OF CALLIGRAPHY
The term Calligraphy is derived
from the Greek “kalligraphia’ meaning ”beautiful
writing”. Calligraphy is done with a brush and has been
a respected art form for many centuries. Artistic production
in China goes back to about 6000BC.
The Chinese calligraphy brushes in his collection are made
from jade, bamboo, coral, wood, bone and horsehair. The examples
shown could be used as decorative ornaments on a table, hang
on a wall or used for painting. They are highly collectible.
